How about your PATH? How’s it going for you?
Last week I spoke of Job Trauma and so many related to it!
So….how is it going for you?
Career? Life? Where you want to be?
Are you ready to get rid of….”it’s their fault”?
Ready to get rid of, “why has this happened over and over again?”
Are you ready to take your feelings and your thoughts in your own hands?
How about asking a better question…
“What am I doing to attract this lesson into my life?”
Yes….when we get what we don’t want in our career and life…
This job issue can haunt you for years…and you may not even know what is going on.
Suffering from Job Trauma and Don’t Even Know It? This may be your career and life.
Job trauma, I see it everyday as a retired executive and kick ass career coach, happens when we are fired, laid off, sent packing upon a reorganization OR, have to flee a work environment that is way too overwhelming, tortured by a horrible boss or toxic work environment that goes on long enough to put us in serious stress mode for weeks, months, years and sometimes decades.
That’s job trauma!
These can all lead to continuation of the damaging set of mental programming and energy consciousness of the job trauma.
Forgiveness and Success
What the devil does forgiveness have to do with success?
Would it surprise you to hear it has everything to do with your success?
Every day in my Kick Ass Career Course I see women who have suffered what I call “Job Trauma”.
This is a very real emotional, mental and spiritual assault. Our work and career is our contribution to the world. It is our physical world energy which yields the fruits of our labor…our pay.
Work is a personal contribution to an organization that serves people. No matter what work you do, you make someone’s life better. We are connected by this fabric of society.
Is there too much labor in your career?
Today we celebrate the contributions of American workers in the USA….Labor Day!
Congratulations to all of us and now…
I want to throw it on its head a bit to create more ease in your life.
You see…there may be too much labor in your career!
Are you plagued with a syndrome I see all too often in my coaching practice?
Working hard to prove you are worthy?
Prove you are worth it? (the money– what $$$)?
Prove you are ready to be promoted?
You may be trying too hard,
I am so excited to feature a client of mine and an overall BadAss woman for this week’s Motivational Monday. Rhonda Ulrich, Esq. is a true inspiration to men and women, alike. Rhonda has “written” several chapters in her career and is re-inventing herself again as she grabs her alignment, “brings her soul to work” and creates the life and career worthy of her big heart! Rhonda and I have known each other for about one year and I have seen her come into such strength and alignment. We met in person at my (clients only) retreat in Miami in May…it was transformational for all the women in attendance.
Rhonda began writing inspirational blogs on her LinkedIn profile and I asked if I could feature this latest version.
Who you think you are may be hurting you….let’s explore this tricky topic. It’s more than self-image.
Like it or not, our lives are a collection of our thought habits.
This past Saturday I had a great session with my Mastermind ladies. These are women who have worked with me for a while and are frickin’ awesome! Heck….they inspire me with all they accomplish and their aligned, soul-based living. Many of them have recently achieved more in their careers and lives than they ever imagined possible for themselves.
They are living their dream lives because of one major change. They began to see themselves in new ways. There are some necessary steps to take to get aligned.
How to Fail Well and Succeed.
Warning: This idea may conflict with your idea of reality!
We are taught that failure is to be avoided at all costs.
Good grades are celebrated and failing grades are punished!
Failing is bad!
Failing is wrong and painful and a sin.
Now that you are an adult, I can share something with you.
Failing WELL is the key to SUCCESS!
Yes, many successful people will tell you this.
Failures are legendary….Babe Ruth struck out 1,330 times in his baseball career, but he isn’t even in the top 100 of strike outs. The top of the list is full of Hall of Fame players and men who are the games all-time greats!
I find that many of the folks I talk with on clarity calls and in my coaching are so caught up in their story that seeing a different life seems impossible.
Funny…many of us will play the lottery with odds over a million to one and not take REAL control over our destiny. When you are ready to change and ready to see the world in a new way and to see YOU in a new way…you are ready.
It is only when you are truly ready to control your destiny that you can imagine…
1. Your life being better,
2. You being able to control your destiny,
3. What it feels like to decide to create your life for yourself….even if you have a spouse and kids to look after….you are the only one you can change.
YOUR Thoughts Are Not Who You Are…
Every day you think thoughts, and science tells us over 70% of these thoughts are the same ones day in and day out. These repetitive thoughts create a belief system that controls our decisions.
Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is the science of success.
When we think and feel in repetitive ways it becomes our “reality.” Eventually it feels like our thoughts are who we are.
We are wiring our brain every minute with the wiring and “firing” of neurons, especially when emotions are high. This “programming” makes it feel permanent and convinces us that we are how we think and the world is how we feel.
How to Manage When it Never Ends: Embrace Life Lessons
What? Never Ends?
I know….life is a constant flurry of things…events…feelings….thoughts…..can’t we just get off and coast?
No. We. Can’t.
Life has a way of constantly flowing.
A river that never stops, always flowing.
A horse race around the track, over and over.
When I was diagnosed with breast cancer 6 weeks into a new job, I thought my entire existence was going to crumble. Cancer gives one the jag in the throat, the punch in the gut…I did wonder if I would die or how bad it would all be. When I told my boss I was so afraid of being criticized,
