How Is Your Inner Voice Treating You?

Here at MOST LIFE we cover one of our eight themes each week. This week we cover “S” for Speaking!

In life we have an almost endless voice inside that at times won’t “shut up!”

OK… I don’t like to say those words, but geesh, can’t that inner voice just take a breath? Well, that is exactly what you need to do to quiet your inner voice. Take a few deep breaths! Slowing the breathing down, slows the inner voice down. CLICK HERE for the Meditation and Breathwork Audio I did on finding your center relaxing breath work.

What to do next? What is the inner voice saying? It’s either rattling off your worries, your fears, your anxieties OR it’s practicing gratitude and looking for ways to spread positivity in your life?

Catch yourself thinking in ways that are not empowering and scratch it out of your head! Like an old record (remember those?) Scratch it so it doesn’t play anymore.

Interrupt your thoughts with thoughts that serve you because what you think about is how you feel and you want to feel good. Simple exercises will expand your mind and give you the MOST LIFE you want!

DO the gratitude exercise! I love gratitude, it is a mental and emotional cure-all. In doses large and small it can cure a lot of ills!

When you are thinking of something negative, replace it with…. “EVERYTHING ALWAYS WORKS OUT FOR ME.”

Don’t believe it? Practice the positive thoughts and let them sit in your head a bit longer.

Chances are you have created habits over time that were necessary to make you feel better. It feels better to say there isn’t enough time, that way, the inner critic can take a back seat and not BLAME you for not doing EVERYTHING. Sometimes we create fancy ways of re-routing our inner dialogue to feel better. Figure out why you are repeating the same thoughts and it will help to re-create the thoughts. Use this week’s IDEASheet get in control of your inner voices. REMEMBER “Everything Always Works Out For Me!”
