Are you the Queen of Procrastination?

I’ll never forget when I got in trouble with my boss. It was early in my career, and I didn’t do a crucial task before I left for vacation. I didn’t do it because I was afraid to confront a particular employee. So I left the issue alone, hoping it would go away…And when I went on vacation, it blew up.

I swore to myself that I would never again leave something undone. I would handle it with courage and bravery and boldness, so that my boss didn’t have to handle something even more difficult.

You can’t run faster than procrastination.

Are you the Queen of Being Technically Awesome?

When I was a nurse, I wondered what I needed to learn to advance my career.

At some point, it became obvious that just being a better nurse or having advanced degrees wasn’t going to get me where I wanted to go. I wanted to have greater impact and influence.

So I studied people who were doing that, and what I found about the myth of being technically awesome is that the people who succeed are the people who develop OTHER skills.

So I began developing those other skills.

Join me to learn what those skills are and how to develop them,

Are you the Queen of People-Pleasing?

When I was a consultant in my late 20’s and early 30’s, I went above and beyond to please people. Sometimes I was inauthentic. And sometimes I was just desperate to get the validation and appreciation of others.

What eventually happened is that I burned myself to a crisp trying to please everyone in every direction. Which led to massive burnout and self-doubt.

Listen; I know that you’re a skilled professional woman. But people-pleasing is a no-win game.

See, if you’re the Queen of People Pleasing at work, it means that your co-workers or supervisors are probably taking advantage of you.

Are you the Queen of Overworking?

I’ve always been a hard worker. I bet you have too.

But overworking?

Unfortunately overworking is something that millions, if not thousands of women do to prove their worth. The worst time was after my breast cancer journey. I felt like I owed my company more work for not firing me when I had cancer.

Join me as I share how and why thousands of women are overworking every day to hide their inadequacies and prove their value.

If you’re a Queen of Overworking, the good news is, you don’t have to be.

Are you the Queen of Perfectionism?

Perfectionism was never really my thing… and in fact, NOT being a perfectionist is one of the reasons my career progressed.

But for the 6,000+ women I’ve spoken to, perfectionism is a huge issue! And it ruins careers — big time.

Join me and I’ll share exactly how to let perfectionism go…Because it isn’t helping you, I promise.

You may worry that in letting go of perfectionism, you’re throwing away your work ethic. But that’s not true. You’re just letting go of something that has held you back and stopped you from moving to your full potential.

Is your pain too comfortable?

I’ve discovered something really weird about pain. It hurts, but it’s also comfortable. What?!

Have you ever said to yourself, “It’s okay that I’m not making more money. I’m making enough.” Or, “Well, my boss is a bully, but at least I’ve learned how to sneak out and take my kids to the dentist.” These are all rationalizations that your brain uses to normalize pain.

I’ll share how you can unlearn this habit so you can go through life with more fulfillment and less pain.

Nobody deserves to suffer through a mediocre job, or worse —

Are you tired of running? And I’m not talking about exercise…

Years ago when I landed a new job as a Vice President, I thought it would solve all my problems. I thought it would be the end of feeling small, not getting recognition, and not getting paid enough. But it wasn’t.

I’m sharing how your ability to get recognition and success is never about a job. It’s about you and your soul.
