Mastering Your Thought Habits

What if your energy force felt good all the time? What if you suspended your current worry and fear and let the good come in?

How would that feel?

What if a trusted friend said, “don’t worry, the Universe has your back”? Well, I want to tell you that is does, you just have to allow it to happen. “How can I do this” this you may ask.  I see thought habits changing people’s lives every single day! You can feel different, you can control what you think about, you can change your entire life, just by changing the way you think.

People have been amazed when I tell them this! “OMG, MO, it really works!” they say. I recently got an awesome message, it said,  “I am so grateful to you! It is really a suspension of disbelief. I don’t “feel” like everything will always work out for me and I don’t “feel” like I am a leader in my field, I am acting that way anyway and things are working out! I am choosing to go with your mantra even though I don’t believe it all the time and as you have found, the more I do this, the more I believe it!”

When you think positive, you open yourself up to positive energy. You being to respond differently, so if you think everything always works out for me, it will! Of course, if you think negative thoughts, you will stay where you are and instead of moving forward, you will move back.

Here are 3  ways negative thoughts may be holding you back:

  1. You do not give yourself permission to bring positivity in your life

How easy it is for us to focus on the bad. Didn’t get that raise you were asking for? Many of us sit and think about all the things we did wrong, instead of thinking about how much progress we made to even get to that point! Why? Because you do not allow yourself to feel good, you must give yourself permission to go against the grain and feel good.

  1. You compare yourself to others

You must stop thinking that everyone has it better than you! When we see others with tangible success, it is may be easy to think that everyone has life figured out with the exception of you. Well, this is simply not true, it is so unfair to yourself to be convinced of this. No one’s life is perfect, we all have something going on. Stop evaluating others and focus on your life and what you need to do!

  1. You fear failure

Have you ever stopped yourself from trying because you’re scared of failure? Your mind races and you convince yourself it is not even worth the try? These moments are learning moments, we learn about ourselves from disappointment. The more you learn, the closer you are to your best Self.

Do any of those sound like you? This may be just what you need, so go on and start changing your thought habits! Here are 3 points to get you started.

  1. Find your positive self, say goodbye to your negative self

Where is your positive self-hiding, begin by examining your thoughts when you are in a stressful situation? What words do you use that bring you down, take note of what triggers these and what they are- then you can begin to change them! Find what makes you shine, where does your positive self come out? Try to find more of those opportunities.

  1. Make small (but long term) thought changes

What negative thoughts do you find come up over and over again? Maybe when you’re talking to higher ups, giving a meeting, or commuting you find yourself beating yourself up. Just by making small little changes to what you think, you can make big changes for the long term. Use words like “I am love,”, “I am proud”, “I am happy”. Keep repeating these, or writing them down in the morning. My words are, everything always works out for me.

  1. Don’t be scared to smile

Your smile is a wonderful way to feel good! Just forcing yourself to smile and laugh can improve your mood. Have fun with your life, humor is a great way to turn a bad day around into something amazing! So go on, and smile.
